Louis and Carrie Nelson
Louis and Carrie are the founders and directors of Camp Hope located on the Grand Mesa in western Colorado just outside of Grand Junction. There are many diverse communities scattered within the area with a school district of over 22,000 students. 17 of the 25 elementary schools are Title 1 schools meaning that they serve disadvantaged and potentially at-risk children. Through Camp Hope, Louis and Carrie with their team, provide opportunities for bible studies, one on one mentoring, and an outdoor mountain wilderness experience to the kids in their community to bring hope into their lives and build lasting relationships.

It was 10 years ago that God put Camp Hope in my path. I was just going to do one camp and be done but God opened my eyes and my heart to these kids and I have been serving here ever since. My passion is to see the healing that happens at Camp Hope through the interaction and relationships that are built. With your support, I hope to serve in a full-time capacity. I want the children that God brings us to have the opportunity to learn and grow in their walk with Him. Jessica Kloeppel
Director of Events and Fundraising, Kingdom buddy
The call to serve at Camp Hope came several years ago and has recently brought me to a partnership with InFaith. I am working to move into full-time ministry with Camp to run the kitchen, train kingdom buddies, raise funds for Camp directly, and most importantly minister to our kids by showing them the love of Jesus. With this love, they can come to realize they are loved, valued, and created for purpose by a God who is always there for them.
